Rointe doubles donations from its Great Food Drive for Jesús Abandonado
From December 1st to 12th, Rointe employees participated in an internal campaign to collect non-perishable food items, which were later delivered to the Jesús Abandonado Foundation of Murcia.
Rointe has successfully concluded its Great Food Drive 2025, a solidarity initiative organized internally at our headquarters to support the Jesús Abandonado Foundation of Murcia. From December 1st to 12th, employees were able to donate non-perishable products at two collection points set up in our facilities, as reflected in the official campaign poster.
The team’s response was exemplary. Thanks to the participation of the workers, an approximate amount of 200 kilos of basic foods was collected—rice, pasta, legumes, preserves, oil, sugar, flour, coffee, cookies, nuts, and hygiene products—with an approximate value of 2,000 euros, which directly contributes to the supply of the reception center.
In line with our commitment to solidarity, Rointe doubled every kilo of food donated by its employees, multiplying the impact of the campaign.
Official delivery to Jesús Abandonado
The delivery of all donations took place on Wednesday, December 17th at the facilities of the Jesús Abandonado Reception Center, located on the Santa Catalina road (Murcia). During the event, we had the presence of Paca Sánchez Miñarro, Head of Social Work at Jesús Abandonado, who personally thanked the Rointe staff for their social commitment. The meeting was accompanied at all times by our colleague Javier Imedio, who had the opportunity to see firsthand the center’s facilities and the social and care work that the foundation carries out on a daily basis.
A collective gesto that adds up
From Rointe, we have made an additional financial donation with the purchase of 125 handcrafted houses made by the center’s users, as part of the “A heart like a house” Christmas campaign, to give to the company’s employees this Christmas.
All those interested in collaborating with this campaign can do so at jesusabandonado.org
This action is part of Rointe’s commitment to local solidarity and support for entities that work for the most vulnerable people.
“I want to deeply thank all Rointe employees for their participation, whose involvement has allowed this campaign to have a real and significant impact on the community.”
— Antonio Dengra, CEO of Rointe
