Electric Radiators

Electric radiators are a cost-efficient method to heat the home, which can also be used if the property has no access to gas. Electric wall heaters are easy to install because they only require an outlet and power supply. An electric radiator is filled with thermodynamic fluid that transfers into energy when combined with electricity or natural stone compressed to provide longer heat and warmth.

Electric radiators for an efficient heating system that’s suitable for all rooms, even the kitchen or bathroom. The careful choice of components and materials in our dry stone or oil filled radiators make them second to none. High purity aluminium, an exclusive design for natural convection and 24/7 programming ensure maximum comfort and low consumption.

  • Why are oil filled electric radiators better?

Electric radiators that are oil filled can heat more quickly and retain heat for longer thanks to the specifically formulated thermal fluid properties. The oil is electrically heated, which creates a convection current inside the radiator. As the oil at the bottom warms, it moves freely around the radiator interior, allowing cold oil to fall in its place for heating. The heated oil then heats the aluminium radiator shell and the convection cycle begins in the room itself with the air. Oil filled electric radiators are excellent at retaining heat so less energy is needed to increase temperatures in the room space. Even after you turn off, these radiators will continue to gently radiate heat and keep you comfortable because the fluid inside is designed to cool slowly. • What is a natural stone core radiator?

Natural stone core radiators are specifically designed with highly compressed natural stone to create a denser heating core that can keep the radiator warmer for longer, even after the radiator is switched off. Formed using the earth’s tectonic pressure and volcanic heat, the stone core enhances and prolongs the heat created during the convection process, meaning it requires less energy than traditional heaters.

  • How do natural stone core radiators work?

Electrical armoured steel heating elements are contained within the dry stone core (normally soapstone/steatite) to provide powerful heat-up times. As these heat the core, the stone then heats your room through convection, which means the air is heated by the radiator to make it rise. Cool air then flows into its place creating a natural convection current. A high-purity aluminium body means that heat transfer is fast and efficient from the radiator to the room and a highly compressed stone core creates a denser heating core that can keep the radiator warmer for longer. For example, the Olympia radiator uses its nominal power to reach the temperature set, where it then cuts the energy consumption down to maintain a stable temperature. These soapstone or dry stone heaters are cost-effective as they continue to heat for a further 30 minutes even after they are switched off due to the residual heat stored within the stone core.

  • How do you install electric radiators?

As they are not gas-based, electric radiators are not complicated to install. They are installed by drilling a few holes, using the template included for positioning (included with Rointe radiators) and connecting it to the electric supply. • What size electric radiators do I need?

A quick and easy way to calculate the size of the radiator required for any room in your home is by measuring the room in metres (length x width) to find the m2 and then entering the information into our BTU radiator size calculator. You can also use the tables provided to estimate the radiator size required to correctly heat your room. Don’t forget to measure your ceiling height as this impacts the size required. When purchasing Rointe electric radiators, it is important to remember that the success of our heaters is down to the correct sizing.

  • Modern electric radiators

Modern electric radiators are a type of heating system that uses electricity to generate heat. They are an efficient and convenient way to heat a room or a building.

Electric radiators come in a variety of sizes and styles to suit different needs and preferences. Some common types of electric radiators include panel radiators, convection radiators, and infrared radiators.

Panel radiators are a popular choice for their sleek and slim design, which makes them easy to install and fits well with modern decor. They work by heating up a panel, which then radiates heat into the room. Convection radiators, on the other hand, use a fan to circulate the hot air and distribute it more evenly throughout the room. Infrared radiators use infrared technology to heat objects and surfaces directly, rather than the air.

Electric radiators are generally easy to install and maintain, and they are also energy-efficient, as they can be easily turned off when not in use. They also offer a high level of control, as they can be easily adjusted to different temperatures and schedules.
