The Olympia WiFi radiator uses dry stone technology of a natural stone core, sometimes referred to as steatite or dry stone core. This dry stone technology has a natural ability to absorb, hold and radiate heat. Technically speaking this type of stone is normally a talc-schist, a type of metamorphic rock that is relatively soft and has a high-heat retention capacity. This technologically advanced radiator can enhance and prolong the heat created during the convection process, with a fast warm up time.

With the app, you can divide the property into zones to program activation and shutoff of your radiators at whatever time you desire, maximising your energy savings. Plus the app allows you to change the colour of your radiator screen display and has access to the 4 preset heating programs for even easier control.

How do Olympia stone core radiators work?
The Olympia radiator electrical armoured steel heating elements are contained within the dry stone core to provide powerful heat-up times. As these heat the core, the stone then heats your room through convection, which means the air is heated by the radiator to make it rise. Cool air then flows into its place creating a natural convection current. The natural stone core is a powerful resource as it is able to store a large amount of heat over a small surface. A high-purity aluminium body means that heat transfer is fast and efficient from the radiator to the room and a highly compressed stone core creates a denser heating core that can keep the radiator warmer for longer. The Olympia radiator uses its nominal power to reach the temperature set, where it then uses micro-cuts to minimise the energy consumption to maintain a stable temperature. These dry natural stone heaters are cost-effective as they continue to radiate warmth even after they are switched off due to the residual heat stored within the stone core. The robust nature of the stone core enables the Olympia radiator to have a longer working life.
