Today, there are various materials used in the development and manufacture of radiators, such as steel, cast iron, stone, and aluminum. Below, we explain why we choose aluminum and steel for our electric radiators and towel rails.

Aluminum radiators are an excellent choice for electric heating due to their many advantages:
High corrosion resistance: Aluminum forms a natural oxide layer that protects it from corrosion, ensuring greater durability.
Fast heating and high heat output: Its excellent thermal conductivity allows it to reach the desired temperature in less time, providing a comfortable environment quickly.
Lightweight and recyclable: Aluminum is a lightweight material, making radiator installation easier. Additionally, it is 100% recyclable, contributing to environmental sustainability.
Aluminum is the most abundant metal on Earth, accounting for about 8% of the Earth’s crust. Its properties make it ideal for various applications in our daily lives, from construction to electronic devices.
Among the outstanding properties of aluminum are:
Lightweight: Almost three times lighter than iron, making it easier to handle and install.
Durable: It has a resistance comparable to that of steel, ensuring a long service life.
Ductile: Easy to process, it does not magnetize and forms alloys with other metals, expanding its applications.
Corrosion resistant: Thanks to its natural oxide surface layer, it maintains its integrity in various environmental conditions.
Excellent heat conductor: With a thermal conductivity of approximately 209 W/(m·K), it is ideal for the manufacture of radiators.
In addition, aluminum can be processed using various techniques, such as rolling, drawing and stamping. Its silver-like appearance and ability to reflect light make it aesthetically appealing. It can also be easily painted, allowing for a wide variety of colours and finishes, such as our DESIGNLINE range for the D Series.
Aluminum is non-flammable and, unlike plastics, is non-toxic. It is more cost-effective than other metals and materials, and its recyclability makes it environmentally friendly. All these properties make it the ideal raw material for the body of our Rointe radiators. Its manufacturing process by casting allows us to obtain the exclusive and patented design of our radiators.

Why do we use steel for our electric towel rails?
The choice of steel for the manufacture of our towel rails is based on their specific function. While radiators are designed to stabilize the ambient temperature of a room, towel rails are intended to raise the temperature of the bathroom and, crucially, to dry towels.
Steel is the ideal material for this type of heating product due to:
Lower thermal conductivity: It tends to dissipate less heat and accumulate it on the surface, which is effective in reducing moisture and drying towels.
Strength and durability: It is one of the most resistant and non-corrosive metals, ensuring that our towel rails are durable and easy to maintain.
Resistance to oxidation: Once installed in the bathroom, the towel rail is exposed to splashes of water and moisture. Steel, especially stainless steel, offers maximum strength and protection against rust.
Heat retention: Steel retains heat and continues to emit it for a long time, resulting in long-term energy savings.
All our products and components, including our electric towel rails, are made in Europe. The steel body is made using an artisanal process in which the tubes are individually welded to the manifolds. We use weldable alloys with optimal moisture resistance, designed to operate in environments with high relative humidity (above 70-80%).
