At Rointe, We Continue to Take Firm Steps in our Commitment to Sustainability. The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the Spanish Office for Climate Change, Has Recently Announced the Favorable Resolution to our Application for Registration in the Registry of Carbon Footprint, Compensation and CO₂ Absorption Projects.

This official recognition validates the calculation of our carbon footprint and reflects our commitment to the reduction and compensation of emissions, in line with the decarbonization objectives established by the European Union for 2050.

What is the Carbon Footprint Registry?

The Registry of Carbon Footprint, Compensation and CO₂ Absorption Projects is an official tool of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), managed by the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC). This initiative allows organizations to:

  • Calculate and communicate their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
  • Establish reduction plans with verifiable objectives.
  • Compensate emissions through certified absorption projects.
This promotes transparency and encourages organizations like Rointe to adopt an active role in mitigating climate change.
