A real commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change
At Rointe we remain committed to sustainability and respect for the environment as an essential part of our mission. In line with this commitment, we have reached an agreement with CO2 Revolution to sponsor the planting of 200 trees in the reforestation project Bosque Galicia II, located in the municipality of Avión, in the province of Ourense (Galicia).
Rointe Forest is born: our green lung in Ourense
Thanks to this collaboration, the Rointe Forest was born, a forest area of 0.18 hectares that is part of a reforestation already carried out on a total area of 79.52 hectares, with more than 90,000 trees planted. This initiative will contribute to the absorption of more than 150,000 tons of CO₂ over the life cycle of the forest, according to data recorded by MITECO (Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge).
Triple positive impact: environmental, social and economic
These types of projects not only generate environmental benefits. The initiative promotes biodiversity, contributes to soil regeneration and creates local employment, especially in rural areas and among vulnerable groups. It also strengthens the relationship with local communities and reinforces the social and educational impact of reforestation.
